One of Dundee’s most enthusiastic lady golfers, Debbie Catlett, was the eventual individual winner of The Battery Centre tournament played over the long weekend at Dundee Country Club.

Debbie had an exceptional round of 42 points on Friday and followed that up on Saturday by playing to her handicap and scoring a further 36 points to give her an overall total of 78 individual stableford points.

Club Captain, Marc Bradbury, was the runner-up for the second consecutive year, scoring two identical rounds of 38 points to finish with 76 points for the two days. The third position was determined by a count out as four players finished the two rounds on a total of 75 points.

Sifiso Kunene won the count out to finish third followed by Sydney Zulu, Jo Khumalo and Henk Booysen. Friday’s Multiplication Stableford competition was won by the father and daughter pairing of Danie and Sonel Von Mollendorff on 82 points only just managing to count out the “The Streakletts”, Rob and Debbie as they also scored 82 points.
