Get ready for World Wetlands Day at Ingula
Join the seventh Ingula Wetlands Walk on Saturday, February 18

Since 1997, World Wetlands Day has been celebrated internationally on February 2 of every year. What better occasion, whether we live near them or not, to look at the value of wetlands and the services they provide to us – and more importantly, the threats they are facing.
World Wetlands Day is a very important day at Eskom’s Ingula Pumped Storage Scheme. The power station is surrounded by an 8000-hectare nature reserve containing vast stretches of wetland in the Bedford and Wilge wetlands.
Join the seventh Ingula Wetlands Walk on Saturday, February 18.
For the past seven years, the Ingula Visitors Centre hosted very successful walks through the wetlands to celebrate World Wetlands Day.
It provides you with the perfect opportunity to get in touch with nature in a safe and clean environment.
So take along the whole family and experience the beautiful wetlands just a stone’s throw outside Ladysmith. To join the walk, book your spot by contacting Fifi Meyer on 083-627-5758 or email fifi.meyer@eskom.co.za
