Mondlo churches gather for sporty fun

CHURCHES in Mondlo came together on December 23 to help unite and educate young people in the area.

According to the leader of Dikapoli Ministry in Christ, Pastor TC Cele, the aim of the event was to unite young people and show them that they can work together regardless of what church they come from.

“As churches in Mondlo our aim is to unite and educate young people through sports. Matters such as drug abuse and crime were among the main topics for the day. It is important that we as churches unite to fight community issues,” said pastor Cele.

Dikapoli Ministry would like to thank Bishop Gamede of the Mondlo Priest Organisation for being present on the day.

The church also extends their gratitude to President Dlamini from Goba Church, Pastor A Buthelezi from Place of Hope Church, Pastor D Mthabela from Indluyamandla Ministries and the whole organising committee of Dikapoli lead by Phumlani Mchunu, Mr Ntombela from Goba Church and Mr B Buthelezi.

Pastor Cele would also like to thank all the churches that were present as well as the sponsors for the day.

The churches in Mondlo plan to host many other youth events especially around June this year.
