Vusi has a voice that soars with the angels
His aim is to spread his love for music as far as he can and help anyone in need of inspiration
24-year-old Vusi Mbonambi has a voice like an angel. Being a singer, a conductor by profession and currently training at ATS Durban, he is determined to become a famous opera singer one day.
Vusi was born in Durban but moved to Ladysmith in December 2012, the reason being that he saw a gap in the music industry in this part of the world. He currently resides in Model Kloof.
Last year, he was working in Dundee when SABC 2 held a talent show. He participated in the show and landed up in the finals, appearing on the 27th episode on SABC 2.
This year, his aim is to spread his love for music as far as he can and help anyone in need of inspiration.
“Music is my passion, and singing opera is my life and talent. I don’t want music to ever die. There are many youth out here in Ladysmith who want to further their talent in music and I say ‘go for it’…” says Vusi.
He would like to thank his teacher, Mr M Mpisane, for all the help and discovering his talent, as well as the community for all their love and support.
