Hindu community to mark Thaipoosam Kavady 2017

The Dundee Hindu Temple will today host the annual public Thaipoosam Kavady Festival. There will also be a public festival in Glencoe this morning

Today’s public show of faith and commitment is a culmination of weeks of praying and fasting by devotees.  In Dundee, devotees will gather on the open space next to the Peacevale Supermarket.

In Glencoe, devotees will gather near the river adjacent to RIverview Road before the procession to the Glencoe Hindu Temple.

To all those who are carrying kavady, we wish you everything of the best and may all your prayers be answered.
