Dead-heats galore as the competition at Time Trials heats up
We are a small town, but have competitors with a lot of heart and courage
2km run: Njabulo Duma and Thaslin Sookramoney both dead heated for the first position in a time of 12m 12s.
3km walk: 1st was Vasanthee in 25m 44s, 2nd were dead heaters Sunita Rajkumar and Rasini Soobramoney in 30m 8s.
4km walk: 1st was another pair of dead-heaters, Thobeka Mbatha and Joyce in 33m 34s.
3km run: 1st was Jayrushka Massalia in a time of 16m 19s.
4km run female: 1st was Thembakazi Mpofana in 25m 46s.
4km run male: 1st Philalani Ndaba 18m 16s, 2nd Shephelo 19m 17s, 3rd Bongani Myeni 19m 39s, 4th Zwelihle and Thokozani 19m 42s, 6th Thulani 20m 24s, 7th Siphiwe 21m 34s, 8th Nathi 22m 02s, 9th Siya 23m 56s, 10th John Mshali 33m 44s.
8km run: There was a sprint finish to the line and Bongani Sabelo and Thokozani Phungula could not be split at the finish
in 1st place in a time of 29m 37s. 3rd was “Mighty” Joe Khumalo 32m 18s with Lindani. Sangweni running running 4th also in a fast time of 32m 18s.
