Pet lover who loves his tortoises the best
Out of all his interests and hobbies, what he especially loves to do in the afternoons when he returns from school is being with his pets
14-year-old Muzammil Khan is just like any other teenager out there in that he loves to take care of his pets.
However, we’re not talking just cats and dogs.

As a learner at the Islamic Educational Centre (IEC), he enjoys sports, spending time with his parents and listening to music.
But out of all his interests and hobbies, what he especially loves to do in the afternoons when he returns from school is being with his pets. And he has a wide variety of those indeed…
Muzammil has an African Grey parrot, a Siamese cat, a dog and two tortoises.
Muzammil says he loves and cares for all his pets, but his two tortoises stole his heart and are definitely his favourites. He’s had them for a year now, and named them Leonardo and Oogweya.
He feeds them cabbage, grass, lettuce and fruits.
Muzammil makes sure they have enough sunlight and his eyes are always on them when he is playing outside.
When a Ladysmith Gazette journalist asked him which of his two tortoises is his favourite, he smiled and replied, “I don’t have a favourite, as both are not only my pets but also my best friends. They’re always at my side.”
