Sarel Cilliers Teams do well at Wartburg Tournament

The school principal was also present to support players.

Sarel’s hockey and netball teams travelled to Wartburg for a tournament on Saturday.
It was a very early start, but the teams really performed well and Mr Van Staden was there to support the school, which the school really appreciates.

Sarel’s first team hockey girls played in a tournament this weekend at Wartburg. The scores are as follows:
Sarel Cilliers vs Domino Servite – Sarel won by 3-0
Wartburg vs Sarel Cilliers – Sarel lost on 0-1
Sarel Cilliers vs Hermannsburg- and they won 2-1
Sarel Cilliers vs Greytown High – drew 0-0

Netball
Die eerste netbalspan het Saterdag, 11 Maart, baie vroeg vertrek om aan die Wartburg Hokkie-en Netbaltoernooi deel te neem.
Elf skole het aan die toernooi deelgeneem en elke skool het vier netbalwedstryde gespeel.
Die netbalspan het pragtige netbal gelewer en al vier hulle wedstryde gewen. Die uitslae is as volg: teen St. John’s wen Sarel 14-5, teen Carter 17-9, teen Domino Servite 25-1, en teen Ixopo 17-9. Baie geluk aan al die spelers.

The following players from Sarel Cilliers were selected for the Umzinyathi hockey team that will participate in the KZN trials: u/18: Nonkululeko Vilakazi, Georgia Viljoen, Bongeka Lushaba, Alex Cason, Aphiwe Buthelezi. u/16: Liezel Viljoen, Charne Stoop, Nikita Ramdayal, Olwethu Nxumalo. u/14: Nikara Ramdutt, Thobeka Khoza.
