Lions reward hard work of the Watch

EVERY year, locals and visitors flock to the Lion’s Mayfair in Vryheid for a weekend of fun and excitement.

The Lion’s Mayfair, however, is about so much more than just fun, rides, popcorn, candyfloss and amusement. The funds brought in by this popular event on the Vryheid calendar go back into the community, as the Vryheid Lions use the proceeds to donate to worthy local causes.

One such worthy local cause this year was Vryheid Neighbourhood Watch, who received a generous donation from the Vryheid Lions Club on Sunday.

“We feel that they do a lot for the community,” stated Cindy Mossop. “We, as the Vryheid Lion’s Club, would like to assist them with funding for all the hard work they put in…”
