After 10 rounds of the Overdale Farming business league things are really getting tight at the top of the leader board.
Last Thursday saw some upsets, Overdale Farming giving the Log leaders, The Fockers, a lesson in bowls. Up Town Girls drew with Braytons and Buffalo with a full strength side fell short in both games.
The leader board looks as follows: First The Fockers 16 (+38), second, Up Town Girls 15 (+41), Third, Brayton’s 15 (+31). This Thursday is going to produce some more interesting results as there is some top-of-the-chart clashes scheduled.
Remember to bring your friends and family and your basket and come enjoy the evening with us.Huge congratulations to the KZNCB Ladies “B” side who won the silver medal at the SA Inter Districts two weeks back in Margate. Tuesday, March 21, saw 28 players take part in our 2-4-2 meat sponsored competition. Great fun was had by all and the eventual winners were as follows: First Hannelie and Oom Tiewie, second Oom Dougie and Jacques, third Lourens and Phyllis. It was lovely to see Alida Denny on the green and was awesome to see her complete 30 ends of bowls and also receive a prize. Thanks to all for their support.
The past weekend saw some of the bowls players participating in the Vryheid Pick n Pay sponsored day. A super day was had by all and a huge thank you again to Pick n Pay for their sponsorship and fantastically run day. Prizes were won by all but a special mention to Brian and his two wives, Sheryl and Cheryl on their achievement.
