Locals were treated to a lively gospel presentation on Saturday evening at the NG Kerk (Dutch Reform Church) hall.

Gospel singer Leon Goosen and his wife Rita were in the Midlands and decided to meet their fans.

Minister, Dirk van Zyl thanked the couple for the visit and prayed for blessings upon them during his opening prayer.

Traditional gospel songs were given a country twist by Leon, as his wife accompanied each song with a spiritual dance, which got the audience up and dancing. In between songs Leon shared jokes, scriptures and his testimony.

A bring and share dinner was enjoyed by the guests, locals and the congregants of the NG Kerk.
