Never losing interest in the game of pool
It is now a hobby that is still just as entertaining as the day he first gave it a "whack"
They say you haven’t won until you’ve sunk the black… Well, Mr Imraan Nasikwale knows exactly what this statement means because he’s a man who loves ‘shooting’ pool.
With cue in hand, he works out all the angles and slots the balls into the pockets on his way to finally sinking the black and winning the match. His experience in the game of pool has been accumulated over many years, and he still just can’t get enough of playing this sport.
Born in Pakistan and having lived in Ladysmith for many years, Imraan has made lots of friends in our small town.

“Whenever I’m feeling stressed out, I grab my pool stick and play a game with my friends,” he explains.
A big plus is that age is no problem when it comes to this particular sport.
“You can see my grey hair and beard, but this does not stop me from enjoying what I’m passionate about. As long as my elbow joints don’t seize up, I’m fine,” he quips.
Besides playing pool, Imraan also enjoys music.
Listening to Indian golden oldies and watching Hindi movies are favourite pastimes.
Getting back to pool, he told a journalist that he was always intrigued by the game when watching his friends play, and decided to pick up a cue and give it a try himself, with great results.
It is now a hobby that is still just as entertaining as the day he first gave it a “whack”!
