Vesco Newcastle Winter Festival honours sponsors at extravagant dinner
Committee member, Quentin Ferreira thanked all sponsors for the four days of action-packed entertainment.
The Vesco Newcastle Winter Festival committee held its sponsor dinner on Friday, June 9 at Grey Goose Farm Lodge.
The committee welcomed Vesco as its major sponsor for 2017.

“We are especially honoured to have Vesco on board. We trust them and thank them for being as involved as they were,” said Ferreira.
Annalie Huxham of Vesco emphasised the aim was to constantly give back to the community.
“Working together with Thusong Projects, 35 communities have benefitted from the Winter Festival. “We look forward to many more years to come,” she said.
In addition to the funds raised, Ferreira said that R200 000 was allocated to 30 organisations. As a result it has contributed to enriching various school feeding projects and assisting the Crisis Centre, Child Welfare, SANCA and more.
Hennie Pelser, project manager of the festival, thanked Vesco, the Sakekamer and the committee for giving him the opportunity to host this year’s event.
“We thank Hennie for his hard work and ability to please all 45 committee members,” joked Ferreira.
Being part of the committee for many years, Ben Chowles as also recognised for his commitment.
All sponsors received appreciation certificates. Long-standing contributors received special awards.
