Celebrating Youth Day with the Sat Chit Ananda Temple

The Sat Chit Ananda Temple Society of Newcastle hosted a Youth and Fun Day on Friday, June 16.

Activities included motivational talks by representatives of the Crisis Centre and SANCA, volleyball and cricket games, jumping castles, face painting, team building and more.

Well-known resident, Aunty Barbie, also celebrated her 85th birthday on the day.

Recognised as a stalwart and familiar face in the community, she imparted her wisdom to attentive youngsters.

The Youth Day focused on the inspirational quote by Mahatma Ghandi – “Be the change you want to see in the world.”

Finally after getting their faces painted and playing a variety of games, the children indulged a delicious meal.
