Multiple arrests were made at a roadblock in Ntabamhlophe.

Partnering with Ezemvelo KwaZulu-Natal Wildlife, Ntabamhlophe police made eight arrests on June 22.

Ntabamhlophe police and Ezemvelo KwaZulu-Natal Wildlife officials joined forces at a roadblock.

A multi-disciplinary and intelligence-driven operation was planned and officials conducted stop-and-search operations.

Two people, aged 17 and 32, were arrested for possession of dagga and six other people, aged between 20-72, were arrested for traffic-related offences.

Officers keep a vigilant eye on passing motorists.

“Such multi-disciplinary operations are part of a policing partnership wherein other departments are drawn in to help combat crime in the Ntabamhlophe area,” commented police spokesperson Captain Charmaine Struwig.
