Ferrum excels in South African Literary Association’s Orators competition

The pupils did extremely well with 16 of them qualifying for the National round which took place on July 29.

54 of Ferrum High School’s learners participated in the first round of the South African Literary Association’s Orators competition on May 27.

The pupils did extremely well with 16 of them qualifying for the National round which took place on July 29.

The competition was tight, with about one per cent separating the top three in all divisions.

The final results were as follows:

Grade 10:

Second position – Dewald van Zyl

First position – Jade Schoeman

Grade 11:

Third position – Jessie Ho

Grade 12:

Third position – Themblani Mkhize
