ML Sultan Colenso Primary School was once again at the forefront when Asanda Mlambo a grade five learner excelled in the Spelling Bee Mega Challenge 2017 hosted by the Alfred Duma Municipality Library Services during Literacy Day on September 8.
The event was held at the Ladysmith Utility Hall. Asanda attained third position amidst strong competition from various participants from surrounding schools in the Mnambithi Circuit. She captured a trophy, a cash prize of R500, a certificate and library books.
The school’s heartfet congratulations goes out to Asanda and her educator, Miss V Sarjoo for this outstanding performance and for bringing glory and honour to ML Sultan Colenso Primary School and the Colenso Public Library.
