SCHOOLS: Ferrum High excels in Tennis League

16 Ferrum players travelled to Vryheid to play against Vryheid and Sarel Celliers this past weekend, and each player played four matches; two singles and two mixed doubles matches.

Ferrum High School’s 25 tennis players dedicate their time to practicing every Thursday night from January through to October.

During the tennis league held recently, Ferrum proved why it was essential for the amount of practice they put in.

The the results were as follows:

Ferrum won its matches against St Dominic’s Newcastle, Ladysmith, Dundee and Newcastle High School.

16 Ferrum players travelled to Vryheid to play against Vryheid and Sarel Celliers this past weekend, and each player played four matches; two singles and two mixed doubles matches.

Ferrum lost four out of the 26 matches.
