Newcastle Senior Primary School Grade 6 learners went on their Grade 6 tour to Drakensville from September 16 to September 18.
On the way the group visited Talana Museum.
Once arriving at their destination, the learners and educators enjoyed a fantastic Zip Line experience, followed by super tube and swimming which kept them entertainment for hours on end.
That evening the group had to “Stalk the lantern” in freezing cold weather.
The learners were taken to a Bee Farm where they learnt how honey was made and bottled and each learner received a gift pack of peanut brittle.
Due to bad weather, the Birds of Prey visit had to be cancelled and most of learners’ money was then spent at road stalls.
Obstacle courses that afternoon taught the learners the importance of team work.
The last evening some time was spent warming up in the heated pool.
On Monday a hike to the Cascades was undertaken and the scenery was amazing and admired by all.
