Entrepreneurs Day at Glencoe Primary School

Learners could sell no more than four items and could choose to sell individually or in a group

Entrepreneurs Day at Glencoe Primary School
Last Friday, September 22, Glencoe Primary School’s Grade 6s and 7s had a chance to display their entrepreneurial skills. Learners could sell no more than four items and could choose to sell individually or in a group. Learners took full advantage of the opportunity to make some extra pocket money and showed how creative they are by trying to bring something unique to eager buyers. Lucky draws, soccer matches, PlayStation playoffs, stress balls, paper-fish-fishing, delicious treats and so much more had learners and teachers alike waiting in queues to get their hands on something delightful.
First Aid and Fire Fighting Courses
Glencoe Primary School understands the importance of and is committed to ensuring the safety of all its learners and staff members and is extremely proud of their staff members who participated in First Aid Level 1 and Basic Fire Fighting courses, provided by TED Training Solutions. The tables were turned and staff members were the ones in class for a change, taking notes and writing exams which all took place in August. GPS staff members were awarded certificates for their training on the 18th of September which is endorsed by the Department of Labour. All staff members are to be trained in First Aid and Basic Fire Fighting over the next two years, proving Glencoe Primary’s commitment to a safe school for all.
