The Sixteen Days of Activism – the violence against women and children campaign will take place nationally from November 15 to December 10 with many locally-based Government Departments and other stakeholders joining hands to focus the spotlight on the unacceptable levels of violence perpetrated against women and children.
Locally, the highlight will be on November 28, when there will be a community-led march from the Moth Hall to Endumeni Municipality, where a memorandum outlining community grievances, will be handed over to Mayor, Richard Mbatha.
One of the organisers, A Kikia of the Dundee Court, said they are calling upon all residents to support the event. For details contact Ms Kikia at 083 881 6903 or Siphiwe Ndlovu at 071 401 3719.
