SBI – ‘The big voice of small business’
The AHI will now be known as the Small Business Institute and will be implementing some changes in the new year to bring about a positive impact on employment and the success of small businesses.
BIG things are happening for the “big voice for small business” in Vryheid.
In the last year, the Afrikaanse Handels Instituut (AHI) has been taking steps to maintain their relevance and diversity in the small business sector and recently adopted a new Memorandum of Incorporation as well as a new name.

The AHI will now be known as the Small Business Institute and will be implementing some changes in the new year to bring about a positive impact on employment and the success of small businesses which currently contributes at least 40 percent of South Africa’s GDP.
SBI will be governed by a newly constituted board of experts that all share a passion for small business. This will be a demographically reflective board with distinct portfolios for better accountability.
