Keegan Gevers and Muhammed Khan, both Grade 6 pupils at Michaelis Private School, were selected for the u13 Northern KZN Tennis Team. Four boys and four girls were selected to make up the team. The KZN Inter Districts Tennis took place in Pietermaritzburg on the weekend of February 23. In total there were 9 districts to compete against.

Keegan was the team’s number 1 seed player and Mohammed was seeded third. Each player had to play 8 single matches and 8 double matches over the course of the weekend. These matches were played at Kershaw Park Tennis Club and Epworth School.
The competition was of a very high standard and both boys gave of their best and played very good matches. Although the weather was extremely hot in Pietermaritzburg, this did not set these two court fighters back. They enjoyed the tennis and had an overall good experience. They made new tennis friends from different schools and they are both looking forward to going back even stronger next year!
