Artwork to be exhibited in Ladysmith
The exhibition will be held in the Egerton Primary School Hall on May 9 and 10

An amazing exhibition called ‘Art with a purpose’ is currently being organised by art teacher Avril Wilkinson, and Egerton Primary School will be hosting it in their hall.
The art being displayed is the work of Avril’s students from Grade R to 7, who take lessons with her once a week.
The children enjoy their individual lessons and at the end of the term, they all work on a group art project together.
For the very first time, the children will soon be exhibiting their art for the community.
The artwork is not only 2D, but also 3D, and each child will have their own stall to show off all their creations.
Avril will be showing off a few of her own art pieces she has done over the years.
There will be a total of more than 60 ‘masterpieces’ on display, not for sale but more to show how children develop their skills and how art comes naturally even if we don’t know it.
The exhibition will be held in the Egerton Primary School Hall on May 9 and 10.
The exhibition will be open from 5pm to 9pm on May 9 and all day on May 10.
This is a great opportunity to support Ladysmith’s budding young artists.
If you have a creative child or you yourself want to take up art as a hobby, Egerton is the perfect place to be in order to get inspired to join Avril’s classes.
Avril hopes this exhibition will help grow her classes and reach more children and families. Don’t miss out!
