As always don't forget to bring along a blanket, non-perishable food items or pet food which the Round Table will distribute to their five beneficiaries.

This past weekend, it was off to Ladysmith for the Club’s ten bowlers who were selected to represent the Northern Zone in the annual Inter-zone competition.
The Inter-zone competition is a competition played between the three zones that make up the KZN Country Bowls District, namely Northern Zone, Midlands Zone and Zululand Zone. Playing conditions could not have been more perfect as the ninety-six bowlers took to the greens on Saturday morning to battle it out for the title of Inter-zone Champion. Two games of eighteen ends were played on Saturday and another two games of fifteen ends on Sunday. The Northern’s ladies played very well and in so doing won the ladies division, the first time in years! Unfortunately, the Northern’s men could not match the ladies achievements and had to settle for last place. The overall winner of the Inter-zone competition was Midlands Zone. Congratulations to them. The Club would like to congratulate the following members who have been selected into the KZNCB squad: Des, Dougie, Greg, Essie, Nan, Rita, Sylvia and Taryn; congratulations to each of you. The squad will meet in Vryheid in August.
