Feisty Legends soccer league underway

The Legends soccer league is currently underway with 14 teams, representing Sibongile tavern owners, competing.

Mpumelelo stadium in Sibongile location was abuzz last week Friday with soccer lovers blowing their vuvuzelas.
The Legends soccer league is currently underway with 14 teams, representing Sibongile tavern owners, competing.
The league was created to unite tavern owners and to give old soccer players a chance to relive their passion. The league started three weeks ago.

Among the teams playing was the Rhodesia side that beat the feisty Amatilosi FC by two goals.
Amatilosi FC. Ama10/10 lost to Siphiwe FC by two goals to one.

The rest of the remaining teams will be playing this Sunday at Mpumelelo stadium.
Ndade Makhathini, the organiser of the league, was ecstatic to see supporters at the stadium.
He said that “as the organiser, I have challenges when it comes to soccer balls and soccer kits, hence we are pleading with the community at large to sponsor us with balls and kits. Anyone willing to assist can contact me on 073 083 2891.”
Fixture for June 3: Deke vs Philani FC at 9am, 11540 vs Steta at 10am, Abavukuzisi vs Spiders at 11am, Oshaka vs Oil Tank at midday, Amatilosi vs Ama 10/10 at 1pm.
