The Grade 12 learners currently doing Consumer Studies at Ladysmith Secondary School (Lasec) have a genuine passion and love for the kitchen.
Every Friday, the students are engaged in preparing gourmet meals ranging from vegetables and chicken to fish, lamb, roast and very unique cuisine dishes under the guidance and mentorship of Mr Bihaspat, their educator. Each week, the students learn new and creative table layout methods, and the suitability of cutlery and crockery.
The learners also had to remember their recipes and follow all relevant procedures in the kitchen. Assisted by Mr Bihaspat, educators Mr S Petse and Mrs P Nene assessed the learners.
The learners at Lasec appreciate any form of donation or used equipment / utensils towards their kitchen, as your contribution will go a long way towards helping upcoming future chefs and bettering the learning environment of future generations.
