BBAC runners get tips ‘just-in’ time

Justin hosted a good question and answer session on nutrition, supplements, running gear... a very informative session.

An old friend was back in town to give much-needed advice to Biggarsberg Athletics Club members who competed in Sunday’s Comrades Marathon.

Justin Woolven grew up in Dundee and his late mum, Debbie, was a popular figure at Nedbank. After leaving Dundee, Justin, who was always into extreme sports, finished school at George Campbell Tech in Durban.

Old Dundonian, Justin Woolven, is now a respected personal trainer and motivational speaker.

Since then he has competed in Ironman events and is now a reputable qualified Fitness trainer and ultra distance coach triathlete, ultra runner and motivational speaker. He is a coach and runner for the Fats Cats Athletics Club in Johannesburg.

Chatting to the runners at the SAVG Home, Glencoe, last Tuesday, Justin was able to give advice to the first time Comrades runners.

“Justin hosted a good question and answer session on nutrition, supplements, running gear… a very informative session. A big thank you from our club. Now we are pumped and ready to go!

ASIJIKI! No turning back!” enthused BBAC’s Lani van der Mescht.

It is always good to know that those who grew up here, never hesitate to plough back into their old hometowns!
