Bowlers take on 212 competitors in KZN Pairs

The club wishes four of its members, Greg, Jo-Ann, Jacques and Taryn, good bowling and travelling mercies as they travel to Piet Retief this coming weekend to compete in the Piet Retief sponsored day.

This past Friday, three of the club’s male members, Greg, Des and Jacques, along with Douglas Steele from Newcastle Bowling Club, left for Margate to compete in the All Natal Pairs competition.
This is a massive competition with the tournament being hosted over seven different venues along the South Coast and a total of 212 men competing. The weather was perfect for bowls with the men having a great day of bowls on Saturday, however, on the Sunday things didn’t go so great and unfortunately, the men fell out of the competition. Nonetheless a great experience and better luck next year.
