Newcastillian, Thulani Msane reaches a Comrades milestone
Listing his movements from Harriers to Eskom Athletics Club and then Nedbank, Thulani said his successes were also down to fitness and aerobic classes.
Thulani Msane has joined the local legends of the Comrades Marathon.
He completed his 10th consecutive ultramarathon at the weekend, finishing in a time of 10:57:00 and earning himself a bronze medal in the process.
Thulani said he was fortunate to have achieved this milestone.

“It takes dedication, training and commitment. It was an awesome race and good weather, and you tend to push yourself on the down run, which takes different mental preparation.”
Despite his membership at the Nedbank Running Club KZN [KwaZulu-Natal], Thulani paid tribute to his former Newcastle Harriers mentors, Elsa and Andre Grundlingh.
They were with him to receive a permanent number on Sunday.

He then extended his appreciation to those who helped along the way.
