Glencoe Primary Prefects leaving a permanent mark
With some funds being left over, the prefects decided to leave a more permanent mark at school by buying a beautiful, young Yellow Wood tree which was planted last week on June 14.
Recently, the GPS prefects organised and held their own fundraising event at the school which was extremely well supported by the learners.
The funds were collected for the prefects to be able to buy a small gift for each of the teachers on their birthdays to let them feel that extra bit special. With some funds being left over, the prefects decided to leave a more permanent mark at school by buying a beautiful, young Yellow Wood tree which was planted last week on June 14. The tree has been watered and cared for daily by the prefects themselves, and the school looks forward to the generations of shade their tree will provide in the future.
Staying with the prefects, all the girl prefects dressed up as Rapunzel to help promote and sell tickets for the hilarious and much-anticipated play, “Rapunzel”, which took place at the school last week Friday – the perfect way to end off exams!
