Pool upset equals World Cup shocks

Hardy pool players of Glencoe and area are braving the winter nights to enjoy a game of 'sticks' at the new-look 7 Seas Restaurant.

While everyone – well most people – are watching the World Cup Soccer on TV – the hardy pool players of Glencoe and area are braving the winter nights to enjoy a game of ‘sticks’ at the new-look 7 Seas Restaurant. Captain Ranesh previously held a singles competition, won by Sebastian, and the idea was to host a doubles competition last Friday.
Unfortunately, this did not happen as some promised players from Wasbank and Newcastle did not arrive, so a singles competition ensued.
Sebastian, last week’s winner, was again in the running and he and Kelly faced off in the finals. However, just as Mexico put one over World Champions Germany, Kelly held his nerve to take the honours. Watch for news of the 7 Seas darts evenings.

Shamilla and Ranesh, owners of 7 Seas Restaurant, congratulate pool winner, Kelly.
Sebastian, right, this time had to accept that Kelly was the singles champion.
