TRAFFIC ALERT: Two injured in R34 crash at Vryheid Junction

Witnesses said it appeared that the driver of the Datsun Go had exited the Vryheid Junction, but failed to stop at the intersection to allow traffic to pass.

Two men sustained moderate injuries in a crash on the R34 at the Vryheid Junction yesterday evening.

Witnesses said it appeared that the driver of the Datsun Go had exited the Vryheid Junction, but failed to stop at the intersection to allow traffic to pass. The driver of the Corsa bakkie said that he had been exiting Vryheid along the R34 toward Dundee when the Datsun Go collided with his vehicle.

Paramedics from KZN Private Ambulance treated the drivers of both vehicles and the passenger in the Corsa bakkie on the scene.

Thereafter, the driver of the Datsun was transported to Newcastle MediClinic, while the passenger in the Corsa was transported to Vryheid Hospital.
