Dartists take national honours

The local 'dartists' made sure the Endumeni Club was the only KZN men's team to have featured in the tournament.

While many consider darts a Cinderella sport, local enthusiasts are keeping the town’s flag flying after the Endumeni Darts Association went unbeaten to take top honours in the National Darts Championships held in Johannesburg over the past week.
Teams representing 65 municipalities throughout South Africa competed for honours at the Kibler Park venue. The local ‘dartists’ made sure the Endumeni Club was the only KZN men’s team to have featured in the tournament.
Aveen Jagath of the Endumeni Darts Association thanked sponsors Cosmic Transport and Dundee Builders Hardware for their assistance.
“We further wish that Endumeni municipality will recognise darts as an official sporting code like all the other municipalities in the country and offer assistance to the team that is proudly representing them at the players own costs.”
