Endumeni Senior Citizens Group treat deserving kids to mark Mandela Day

The day ensured that Madiba's great love for children was honoured

Nelson Mandela’s 100th birthday celebration was marked in Glencoe by the effervescent members of the Endumeni Senior Citizens Group treating deserving primary school children to a lunch in the Glenridge Hall today.

The group, under the watchful gaze of chairperson, Nirmala Neerahoo, also had a huge birthday cake on hand to spoil the grateful children with. Guru Umeshvaran Nagiah was also present adding humour and a spiritual message to proceedings.

In return, the children sang and danced for the seniors, some of whom joined the children on stage, which caused much merriment and made sure that Nelson Mandela’s love for children was honoured in Glencoe.
