Golfer Kallie comes up tops with 40 points
The Club competition held on Thursday 9th August, saw only twelve golfers brave the cold and wet weather.
It was pleasing to see a reasonable field of 33 golfers taking part in Saturday’s I.P.S. club competition at Dundee Country Club.
There were a number of golfers who found the winter course condition fairly easy to score 36 or more individual points on the day.
Kallie Roets came out tops to win the competition with 40 points, followed by Cyril Mkhwanazi on 39 points.
Dolly Bradbury took home the third prize with her 37 points, while her husband Marc won the count out on 36 points to finish in fourth place.
There were seven 2 Clubs recorded on the day, and they were achieved by; Willie Maritz on No.8, Cyril Mkhwanazi on the 12th, John Zulu on the 16th, while both Kallie Roets 12 & 16, and Gene Robson 4th and 16th holes each recorded two 2 Clubs.
Walter Du Plessis carded an eagle three on the par five 9th hole to see him score eleven points on the allocated Jackpot holes to win himself a little extra cash.
The Club competition held on Thursday 9th August, saw only twelve golfers brave the cold and wet weather, with John Zulu and his partner Hlengiwe Hlongwane, winning the better ball competition on 49 points.
This week’s fixtures; Dave’s Wednesday 10 Holes Competition and on Saturday the 18th August, the Dundee Angling Club will be holding a Sponsored Golf Day, which will be an I.P.S. event so players are requested to phone The Pro Shop on 034-2181000 to enter their names.
