Dust and smoke give way to welcome rain

The cold weather is not set to last, according to the weatherman

The strong August winds, dust  and the usual veld fires have given away to light rain and chilly weather.  Residents woke up this morning to find the ground wet – a relief from the choking dust and smoke that characterises August.

Veld fires on Friday afternoon engulfed the Hattingspruit area.

The mercury is expected to rise to only 9 degrees today and rain is expected throughout the day.  Snow may fall on the Berg and the Southern Berg is said to be already white with snow.

However, on Sunday things warm up rapidly with a maximum temperature of around 22.  The warmer weather will continue throughout the week until cooler weather from around Thursday. Enjoy your Saturday and let us know what you are doing on this chilly day…
