Jacques and Nan narrowly miss out on champions glory
The normal business league format applies… enter a team of four, only two registered bowlers per team.
Jacques Bierbaum and Nan Roos travelled to Empangeni this weekend to compete in the KZNCB Champion of Champions competition. Conditions were a lot more humid compared to the dry conditions experienced in Dundee.
Both won their sections on Saturday and advanced to the semi-final which was played on Sunday morning Unfortunately neither Jacques nor Nan could overcome their second hurdle to glory, with Nan going down 17-21 to Helga Rossouw from Harrismith and Jacques going down 13-21 to Deon Leity from Richards Bay.
The Club members are extremely proud of their efforts and have once again shown that the Dundee bowlers are a force to be reckoned with.
Rotary Business League
It’s hard to believe that the second week of the Rotary Business League has come and gone and with this week’s play being the final round.
Prize-giving will be held after each session this week with the winners of each section being awarded a prize.
The scores are as follows: Section 1: Round Table 21 +22 and Buffalo Calcine 17 +11, Section 2: Head Space 23 +41 and Komzani 18 +13, Section 3: Arndt 19 +14 and NJR Blue 19 +11, Section 4: BB Transport 23 +48 and Mbube 20 +20, Section 5: D A 24 +27 and Fedauto 18 +12, Section 6: Tristar 21 +32 and Langfontein 18 +18.
Remember that food is for sale on each of the nights so come down to the Club one last time to be a part of this wonderful initiative.
ATKV Business League
The ATKV Business League will start on Thursday, October 4, and will run every Thursday in October. The normal business league format applies… enter a team of four, only two registered bowlers per team. The ATKV will also be collecting non-perishable items for the NCVV Service Centre in Glencoe as well as pet food for the Dundee SPCA.
