AbaQulusi SuperSpar hosts fabulous Family Fun Day as Vryheid’s lucky winner of Spar Win a Car competition drives off in style
A drum roll from the band was followed by a majestic royal blue flash of fabric as the cover came off of the magnificent Spar Win a Car prize beneath.
If you missed the AbaQulusi SuperSpar Family Fun Day on September 22, you certainly missed out.
The parking lot at the popular supermarket was abuzz with excitement as live music filled the air, with local band, Black Wiskey putting on a spectacular performance for patrons as they passed through the doors of Spar, eager to pick up trolleys full of unbelievable specials.
Outside the store were several stalls where community members could display their wares, as well as face painting and a jumping castle for energetic children to enjoy while their parents enjoyed the live band.
Amid all the excitement was the build up to the main event of the day, the highly anticipated reveal of the brand
new Hyundai I10 which was won by Vryheid’s Zandile Mbatha.
As midday approached and Mrs Mbatha arrived with her family, AbaQulusi SuperSpar’s new store manager, Trevor Domoney took to the microphone to make the announcement.

“I think you’re going to need these,” smiled Trevor Domoney as he handed the keys to a visibly elated Zandile Mbatha.
