Many thanks to the sponsors who made Talana Live possible

Well done to all the generous sponsors who made this community event happen!

Talana Live was a community event hosted by Talana Museum which brought alive Dundee’s military history along with a variety of activities and displays that included vintage cars, LP records and books, a gun run, Tug-0-War, a re-actment and much more…

The visiting pipe band created the right atmosphere and even the drizzly weather was ordered! It was the same kind of weather when the battle of Talana was fought in 1899! The event also brought many visitors to the town who filled the accommodation establishments and brought much needed Tourism Rands into the town.

The Board of Trustees of Talana Museum would like to record their thanks to the numerous    individuals, organisations, stall holders  and sponsors, without whom it would not be possible to stage Talana Live.

Sponsors and supporters:

Tourism Dundee; Umzinyathi District Municipality; Orange Grove Dairy; Charlies Superspar; Fedauto; Docrats Hardware; Endumeni Municipality;  The Courier, Buffalo Coal;  Battlefields Country Lodge, Royal Country Inn, Khaya4U, Quench Water; D&E Signs; Sims Marquee Hire; BKB;  Protech;  Rorkes Drift Hotel.

What a great community effort!!!
