Golfers enjoy the Dundee Classic

Thirty-six teams entered the competition held on Friday.

The 9th Corporate Classic golf day at Dundee Country Club has now come and gone, and what a successful day it turned out to be thanks to all the generous sponsorships received from local businesses.

Thirty-six teams entered the competition held on Friday, however, there were two companies who were unable to find four golfers, so we had a total of 136 players participating in the annual event and partying until early hours on Saturday morning.

The Amadambi Transport team scored a record low net score of 50, twenty-one shots under par to take home the first prize and see each golfer winning themselves a bar fridge. The Battery Centre team finished in second place with a net score of 52, followed by the Overberg Asset Management team, who beat the Harcourts team on a count after both these teams finished on a net 53.

The novelty prizes for nearest the pin on the short par 3’s went to; Wayne Krog on No.4, Murray Hume on No.8, Kallie Roets on No.12 while Ronnie Kriel picked up the prize on the 16th hole.

The 2018 NKZN Men’s Inter-Club competition and AGM takes place this coming Sunday, December 2 at Vryheid G.C. and we would like to wish all those golfers taking part a good day’s golfing.
