Alternative ways to wrap your Christmas presents

Tired of the boring, same-old wrapping paper to wrap up Xmas gifts?

When the festive season hits, people usually get lost in the fun and excitement of Christmas shopping.

Even though shopping for presents can be enjoyable, for most of us, the process of wrapping the gifts takes the fun to a whole new level.

Here are a few alternative ideas to make your gifts even more creative this year:

  1. Wrap your presents in material. Do you have a variety of scrap cloth lying around? Why not use it to wrap your presents? Just tie it up in a nice bow and you are good to go.
  2. Be creative with old newspapers. Collect a couple of newspapers and use that to wrap your presents instead of wrapping paper. It is not only cheaper, but gives you a chance to get creative and save the planet while doing so.
  3. Be playful with origami. Maybe origami isn’t the easiest art form to try out, but it can be fun to learn a new skill. In the process, you ensure that your presents will be the talk of the town.
  4. Make your gift part of the wrapping. If you are planning on buying someone a scarf or a nice T-shirt, why not wrap the rest of the present in the shirt or scarf?
  5. Use scrap paper. Collect all the scraps of paper, cardboard or tissue paper lying around the house and make the most colourful designs you can think of.

When it comes to wrapping presents, creativity is key, so let your imagination run wild and make a statement with some great alternative ideas for gift wrapping.
