Protest action has this morning again blocked the Wasbank/Elandslaagte road near the Wesselsnek turn off.

Similar protests blocked the road on December 31 and yesterday. Members of the Nkunzi community in the area have complained about the lack of water in the area which falls under the uThukela District Municipality.

uThukela has been contacted for comment and it is hoped that this will be forthcoming.  Motorists are urged to avoid the area and access Ladysmith via Sunset Rest and the N11.
