Sweet treats for new Grade Ones at Uelzen Primary

Uelzen Primary now boasts a tarred parking area

It was back to behind the desks this morning after one of the shortest summer school holidays in memory. The roads were abuzz with traffic – compounded by the closure of the Dundee/Glencoe road that is under construction for around two to three weeks – but it appeared as if all school were raring to go.

At Uelzen Primary, there much excitement y when the new Grade Ones were made to feel welcome by receiving traditional German-style Zuckertute (sweets and goodies) from the Grade Twos

They were welcomed by acting principal, Ingrid van Staden, and there were not many first-day tears at all. Uelzen is also boasting a tarred parking area and parents congratulated Mrs van Staden on her initiative, assisted by the School Governing Body, and kindly sponsored by Klus Civils.

At Uelzen, it was back to behind the books as soon as the bell rang.
