Another sweltering hot day
Mind you, would you prefer the minus 2 degrees in New York today or the 12 degrees in London?
It is going to be another sweltering Dundee day with the mercury expected to peak at 37 degrees today. There is no much relief on Monday when the weatherman predicts a maximum of 33 degrees. Things cool down slightly on Tuesday and Wednesday with rain expected but Thursday should be over 30 degrees today.
A maximum of just 23 degrees is expected on Friday with some rain. However falls of less than 5mm are expected as the area remains in the grip of a drought which has seen water restrictions imposed. The Buffalo River has slowed down to a trickle.
Some have questioned why this time around, unlike two years ago, water has not been released from Chelmsford dam and into the Buffalo River from where Endumeni receives water. uThukela Water is to respond.
On another note the maximum temperature in New York is a chilly minus 2 degrees today and in London a ‘cool’ 12 degrees.
Which would you prefer? Minus 2, 12 or 37 degrees?
