Women’s club ends 2018 on a festive note

Over the years the members have formed a sisterhood-like bond

Members from the Siyavuka Women’s Club had a blast at their year-end party on December 16.
The women met at Rose Park where they waited for the event to begin. The gathering was not just a year-end function but also a 10 year celebration. Over the years the members have formed a sisterhood-like bond.
“The club serves as a helping hand to its members. In the case of a family death, we would make a donation and assist. We started off with just 16 members and have grown to a family of 39,” explained the Chairlady Thembisile ‘Kitty’ Jwagha.
The club also makes an annual contribution to needy families and hosts a Youth Day celebration. The women got to enjoy a tasty lunch and socialise after which they exchanged Christmas gifts.
