Hospital treats more than 777 patients over festive season

The statistics send a clear message that this was yet another hectic and busy time for Dundee residents yet the Dundee Hospital Staff rendered health care services to all of their patients.

Dundee Hospital is often under the cosh from readers over alleged shoddy service but the Chief Executive Officer, IM Gubevu, has paid tribute to the staff who worked tirelessly throughout the festive season providing health care to their patients.
“The statistics send a clear message that this was yet another hectic and busy time for Dundee residents yet the Dundee Hospital Staff rendered health care services to all of their patients.
“Stats indicate that over 777 patients were seen at the Hospital who attended to various cases (i.e) assaults, stabs, gunshots, motor vehicle accidents, etc. however the clinicians and the medical components managed all these cases successfully.”
Mr Gabevu said one Christmas baby and four New Year babies were born.
“Dundee Hospital Management further urges the community to visit their Primary Health Care facilities and Hospital OPD for medical attention timeously and further wishes to seek cooperation from both parties – the patients as well as the staff attending to patients.”
