During these two weeks, not only has the Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality failed to respond to the media enquiry sent to the Communications Department but also the gutters remain unattended to as well.

This means the rate paying business owner still has to deal with the challenge of foul-smelling gutters outside her shop.

The woman raged with anger when she questioned if the municipality is not concerned about cleanliness and health and this is exactly what it seems like.

By bringing her concerns to the Estcourt News, the businesswoman hoped that municipal employees would be sent to thoroughly clean the messy gutters. Sadly, the gutters along Albert Street remain strewn with rubbish.
