Mayor steps in to secure interview with new municipal Administrator

Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality Jabulile Mbele has offered to liaise with the new Administrator for an official interview

After last week’s article regarding the government red tape delaying an interview with the new Administrator at Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality, there may finally be light.

Mayor Jabulile Mbele has stepped in and offered to help.

After reading the article via social media, Mrs Mbele suggested that she be contacted to assist with an interview with the recently appointed Administrator Dumisani Vilakazi.

The list of questions sent to the municipality’s Communication Department and the Department of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs has been sent to Mrs Mbele.

“I’ll talk to the Administrator on February 12, thereafter a meeting will be arranged,” responded Mrs Mbele.

Mr Vilakazi reportedly assumed his position at the local municipality on January 21.

He takes over from former Administrator Thandolwethu Manda.
