ML Sultan Estcourt Primary School launches ‘Stop to Start campaign’

Grade seven learners learn about pertinent issues related to teenagers

The grade seven learners at ML Sultan Estcourt Primary School welcomed two special guests from the Department of Social Development on February 13.

Khensani Mkhabela and Siyabonga Mbala conducted an informative discussion on substance abuse.

The grade seven learners that were part of the Stop to Start campaign.

Learners identified the various types of drugs as well as the harmful impact it has on the physical and mental well-being of teenagers.

The mantra of “Stop to Start” was drilled with the aid of pictures and learners were encouraged to refrain from getting addicted to any kind substance.

The principal, Mr DH Zuma thanked the social workers for engaging with our learners and invited them to continue their partnership with the school.
